The small charity making a big difference to the working animals in Egypt.
If you would like to volunteer for ACE we provide accommodation onsite for overseas visitors. We welcome vets, vet nurses and students. Student vets (dependent upon your ability and year of study) will gain great experience in debriding wounds, stomach tubing, joint flushing, suturing and more. You can also assist our vets in our small animal clinic should you wish to. We also welcome general volunteers to help at the centre with day to day tasks and others with relevant skills for working animals. We ask all overseas volunteers to fundraise for their placement as a contribution to their accommodation and to help fund our work. Responsibilities while on placement are dependent on the individual’s skills and we try to ensure everyone gets the most out of their time at ACE. While our main work is horses and donkeys we also welcome vets with small animal and farm veterinary experience.
The accommodation provides a modern, clean en-suite twin room. There is a shared kitchen and lounge with a television. Pick up from the airport on your arrival will be arranged prior to your visit.

Depending on the duration of your stay we ask you to fundraise accordingly and require a deposit of £75 to secure your placement;
ACE is a fantastic charity and my time there was too fast! As a veterinary student I gained so much experience. It is a really friendly place and the vets were so experienced, you can’t fail to enjoy your time there and know that you are helping the animals of Luxor’
As a general volunteer I wasn’t totally sure what I would be doing, but alongside helping with the cats, dogs and other animals that stay at the centre I was able to help alongside the vets and found the whole experience so rewarding’
